Dear FCS Family,
The school year is close to 2/3 of the way through. As the weather warms up, our FCS staff and scholars still continue to engage in daily learning in ELA, Math, Writing, Social Studies, Science, STEM, PE, and social-emotional learning. Please help us encourage our students to stay as focused as possible and include homework and study time.
I want to thank each of you for your support. We can’t do it without each and every one of you. I am very appreciative! It’s so great seeing you on a daily basis, especially during our school events. I loved spending time with each of you. There are many great events planned for the upcoming months, as well as field trips to help our scholars experience some of the fantastic educational and cultural events found in New York City. If you are able to, please join us as we continue to engage in these wonderful events.
Please also remember that attendance is essential for academic success and it continues to be a really big deal at our school. It is also important that students come to school dressed appropriately for winter weather. Temperatures can fluctuate drastically during the day, so jackets, hats, and long pants are important clothing for protection from the changing weather.
To all of our FCS families, I wish you all a wonderful day and I hope to see you around the school for so we can always catch up!
